Swimming for everyone
Swimming coach, a passion
I am a swimming coach passionate about coaching, pedagogy and the aquatic environment.
My goal is to teach how to swim in the best conditions.
My strong points
I am patient, calm and empathetic. This allows me to adapt to each student, child or adult, to follow their rhythm and to offer a learning and a practice adapted to their capacities, their needs and their objectives.
I place the benevolent pedagogies resulting from the work of Montessori , Steiner, Freinet or Decroly, at the heart of my teaching. I integrate active pedagogy and constructivist pedagogy (Piaget), in which the student is an actor in his learning.
In this context, the freedom offered to the pupil occupies a central place, especially with children. Thus, while keeping security at the heart of my concerns, I allow the freedom: to move, to experiment, to take the time, to make mistakes and to start over.
An effective method
My method of learning to swim is effective. I reflected, and matured during my many years of experience of teaching. It is based on logical progression phases in the water according to the psychology and the rhythms of the pupil. It follows in every way the stages of learning defined by the official texts of the National Education.
Who am I ?
State- certified lifeguard and swimming instructor (BEESAN), I have been teaching swimming for over 20 years and have been offering my services in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez since 2015. Also with a training as a PE teacher, I am specialized in teaching physical and sports activities to children and adolescents.
I have worked in various swimming pools in France and abroad and have held the position of educational manager for swimming activities on several occasions.
I practice yoga, open water swimming (summer and winter) and freediving.
I worked in different structures, different environments, different countries and I was able to carry out various teaching experiences with various audiences: children in primary school and college, children with autism and children with Down's syndrome, adults and adults who have dropped out. social. These rich experiences, associated with a work of reflection and specialized readings, allowed me to learn, to mature and to develop my pedagogical approach.
